Rain Chains an Aesthetic Alternative

You may be unable to afford a waterfall or pond. Your patio may be too small for either. To get an aesthetically pleasing alternative consider a rain chain. Rain chains are an ancient Japanese tradition.

They attach to your gutter down spout easily. Watch the video for ideas about construction. They are simple to assemble and can increase your rain watching experience. You can add cups of various designs for greater variety.

The natural fall of rain is soothing and relaxing. Watch your stress fall with the falling the rain as a rain chain directs the motion.

A home enhanced by the use of a rain chain is a thing of art and it will bring you much pleasure.  Ordinary down spouts get clogged and need cleaning to function correctly.  The rain chain works in all seasons, winter, summer, spring and fall.

Copper chains are the most popular.  Brass, aluminum, and plastic are also good material choices.  Check out my many offerings and place you order.   Rain chains make great gifts.  Mother’s Day is not far away and June the month for brides and weddings are just two possible recipients that will enjoy and cherish your thoughtfulness.

Charcoal Grill by Weber

Weber 841001 22.5-Inch Performer Charcoal Grill

Touch-N-Go Propane Ignition – Black

was $429.00 on sale for only $299.99

Summer is not far away and Spring is right around the corner.  It’s time to think grill all over America.  If you have been wishing for grilling time, you only need to get ready.

It assembles in less than twenty minutes. The directions are crystal clear, the parts are well and carefully packed, and the only item not included is the small propane container, which is readily available at hardware stores. (Your local Home Depot had four packs for just under $10.00.)

This is a solidly built unit. The kettle bolts to the frame with four large bolts, and the adjoining work surface is similarly attached. The overall quality of design and construction are tops.

The Performer can have your fire ready in about 8 minutes with a fire hotter by over 50 degrees (as measured on the thermometers in the handles) than other and older models.  The air vents at the bottom are larger in the Performer and account for a higher temperature.

The work surface adjacent to the kettle is worth the additional cost. No longer is there a need to balance a tray of goodies on the rim of the kettle with one hand, while trying to place food items on the grill with the other. The tip out charcoal storage bin is also a neat feature.

Weber doesn’t make a grill that is less than excellent and any feature a charcoal griller would want is on this grill.

We avoided saying it. At no time will you hear Remy say it. But there are common names for this food oddity, and they are none too pleasant: Cat Poop Coffee Fox Dung Coffee Its hard to tell which is worse. Problem is,both names are correct. This time around, Remy samples the most expensive coffee in the world: coffee that has passed through the bowels of an Indonesian cat / fox / racoon creature. Why, you ask? Watch and learn!
