I have gotten some inquiries about using a sleeping bag in the hammock as opposed to using a dedicated Top-quilt…the hammockers choice. Sure….sleeping bags work well but it is a task and fight to try and zip a bag up whilst in the hammock. **See the sleeping bag used in “quilt” mode. **A tip to make it easier to zip up the bag in the hammock **Pads….work well if you don’t have or want an Under-Quilt. ** A Thankee to Hector Plasmatic ** A shout out to www.youtube.com ** Dicken’s Tricks All secure in sector seven, Shug

So….OK….I have had some recent requests to show my current pack load for some of my recent trips in the 21º and slightly warmer temperatures in the piney woods. I am of the opinion that on every trip my pack changes a bit….a few more clothing and insulation in the late Fall when the temps get down to the mid 20ºs. This is just an example of the load I like to tote….yours may vary. Before going to hammocks I spent a lot of time under tarps in ultra-lightweight mode and then to tarp tents. Loved it but the hammock over-took me)))) This load is right at 17 pounds WITHOUT water, fuel and my two days of food. A bit of Kelsey, Timmy and I picking a tune as we rehearse for a show at my wife’s studio Xelias Aerial Arts Studio www.watchhumansfly.com Carry on. All secure in sector seven, Shug
Went on a hike (at night) to test some gear and do some videos on some of my gear. This will be a three part series (spanning just over 30 minutes) in which I review the following gear (plus share some personal thoughts – and one rant) along the way. Part two is at: www.youtube.com Part three is at: www.youtube.com
FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com We ordered ENO singlenest hammocks and Pro Fly tarps tested them to see how easy they were to set up and to see how comfortable they are. So far so good. We head out on a 3 day hike on the Appalachian Trail in just a few days to really test them out. Full review to come when we return. We love to be in the woods and on the hiking trails.

Gorge Rat Productions has been working hard to get the real story behind the success of Adam and Jenny Hurst. State of the art products like the new Cuben Tarps … unbelieveable down underquilts and top quilts made to the exception quality standards of Adam and his lovely bride. BUT there are ugly rumors of the use of alien technology … ahem … even of Adam being the result of alien breeding experiments carried on in the late 20th century Part 1 of 4 (update version of original video)
